Modelones Color Cube Solid Cream Gel Polish | Champagne On Ice Review & Swatching
Solid gel polishes are really cool. They make using a gel polish so much easier. But there are many who find it quite hard too. You need a few tips and tricks to make it work for you. You can use them for nail art, creating beautiful gradient looks and even for layering to create a new colour. It is quite versatile. And you can carry them too. So, I started getting the hang of these solid polishes even though I used them for the first time in 2022. And today I want to share a review of one with you. In today's blog I have Modelones Color Cube Solid Cream Gel Polish in the shade Champagne on Ice.
Before we begin, recently I noticed that some websites started to copy content from my blog's feed Crazy Nailzz and post the entire content as theirs. The shade that I got is Champagne on Ice. This pack has 9 everyday wearable colours. they are beautiful beige and nude shades with a dash of glitter.
What do I love about it?
This palette is made for the go lifestyle. If you are someone super busy and need quick manicures every other week or so, this is your life saviour. It does not spill or leak so you can keep it in your handbag or small vanity bag. And it makes for a nice base colour with its elegant shades. You can create beautiful looks with it using stamping, stickers, decals or even nail wraps. If you like simple skittle mani, you can create it using all the colours from this. And for adding shimmer to your mani, there are iridescent shades in it as well. Use them as a topper to transform a simple look. I love how it is extremely versatile and use friendly.
It doesn't take much to cure as well. Only 90-120 seconds are enough to cure it depending on the layering.
It comes with an applicator brush. You must dip this brush in a drop of top coat before beginning the application. It will help in softening the brush and giving an even smooth coat. Apart from this tip, the brush is also of amazing quality. It is a flat brush with a fluffy tip. This helps in picking up enough quantity for a smooth pigmented layer.
Elegant shades for everyday use
This palette is made for everyday manicures. If you are someone who loves subtle nude shades, this is for you. There is a mix of nine soft shades. It has whites, pastel peach, light mauves, nude browns and peach. Apart from these 6 colours, there are three shimmer shades as well. One is soft peachy shimmer, the second is shimmer mauve and the third is a white iridescent shade.
These shades are a bit on the sheer side. So you can layer them for creating pigmentation. They have a decent pigmentation for solid cream gel. And has a smooth even coverage. There are three shimmer shades which look amazing on different base shades.
What I don't like about it?
Although this solid cream gel palette has 9 shades, I feel the quantity could be a bit more. It is very less. It leaves a sticky residue after curing. You will need a top coat for adding that extra shine as well as these shades become a bit dull when you swipe the residue off.
