Modelones Temperature Wood Lid Gel Polish Set | Review & Swatches
* PR*
OMG! This is the best moment in my life. Modelones, one of my favorite nail polish and gel polish brand sent me a PR package. they sent two sets of polish, one gel polish, and one poly gel set. I will share about poly gel in the next blog. But, OMG I have always been a big fan of their nail products and was eagerly waiting for the package. And yes, the polishes were to go gaga about. From the way they were packed to the shade collection, everything was on point. I am not saying all this because it is PR, and I am supposed to say good things about them. No, the brand asked me to put my thoughts after using it.
And I can tell, it is everything one expects in a gel polish. Enough said, read more about it further and watch the swatches. I will share a video review at the end, do watch it!
About Collection
This nail polish collection has shades inspired by temperature hues. ranging from the coldest Below 10° F to the hot red at 100° F there were all shades of the rainbow. These shades are slightly pastel but very vibrant.
Packaging
The packaging was pretty cool. All the shades came in this cute orange box. you can even gift to a loved one as well. The polishes were in this wood lid white glass bottle. It looked super classy and cute. I had some issues at first while holding the wooden lid to apply the polish, but with a little practice, it was convenient. the applicator is also nice allowing smooth thin layers each time.
Cost of the package
The cost of this nail polish pack having 7 bottles of 10ml is $49.90

100° F
Red shades are one of my favorite ones and this one really pops among all the shades. It is simply gorgeous and so hot. Pair it with red lipstick and pumps wearing them with a black dress.
80° F
It is beautiful candy orange color, almost reminding me of orange popsicles. I love how it looks on my nails. This is just perfect for the summer season.
60° F
It is a lemony pastel yellow color. You will need two shades of this polish for the right color.
50° F
A minty green shade, 50°F is a sorta pistachio pastel combination. You will need 2 coats of this shade for the right color.
40° F
A beautiful summery mint blue shade. It looks somewhat turquoise blue reminding you of those blue seawater and white-sand beaches.
20° F
A perfect chill blue shade. Nor too light, neither too dark. It is just perfect for me. I love the cool vibes here on my nails.
Below 10° F
This is a lovely lavenderish pastel shade. It looks super amazing on nails and can be a perfect base for nail art designs.
If you apply properly, the gel polish can stay up to 3 weeks. It is not rocket science but one has to learn the little aspects of it while doing it. The polishes were highly pigmented and gave a nice color in one thin coat. But it is best to get 2 coats for a lasting finish. Just like gel polishes, it has a strong smell but is not that strong. I will advise you to work in a well-ventilated room if you are using gel polish for the first time or if you don't like strong smells.
