Hotel Crystal Palace Mussoorie | Peaceful Break From Chaotic Life

There are times when you just want to go away from the hustle bustle of the city life, to a place where there is nothing to worry about. Where you can be close to nature, leaving all your worries behind and recharge your senses. Although Delhi is surrounded by many such places where you can go for a weekend retreat, there is one place which has always been close to my heart - Mussoorie. 

I have been here several times and every time feels like better than before, giving me such beautiful memories to cherish and energising me to face the busy Delhi life. However, we will talk about how fabulous Mussoorie is and what makes it the best hill station some other time. Today, I am here to tell you about a hidden gem located in Mussoorie that will change the way you enjoy your holidays in hill stations. 

While I was going through the long list of hotels I couldn't help but notice that hotels were either too close to the main city centre or too far from it. You will have to compromise and choose between comfort or conveyance while selecting hotels in Mussoorie. Hotel Crystal Palace by Sea Hawk can give you the best of both worlds with its unique location. The hotel is situated on Spring Road which is close to the Library Chowk yet away from the humdrum of the city. 

For those who are not aware of the city, Library Chowk is one of the busiest locations in Mussoorie, where you can take buses and taxis to Dehradun, find all the major hotels. It also marks as the beginning of the Mall road. Anyone and everyone entering Mussoorie will be here which makes it quite difficult for someone to relax with such a crowd and vehicles honking all the time. 

With its unique location, Crystal Palace hotel offers you complete freedom of travelling through the city, yet relax without any noise. It is 10-15 minutes walk away from Library Chowk. You will not even notice the distance with beautiful serene ambience around, watching the valley and its grandeur. 

About Our Stay

Let me be truthful here. When we checked into the hotel room, it was not a pleasant experience. The room was dirty and not at all pleasing. However, the staff of the hotel including the manager took it seriously and shifted us immediately to another room. This is something I appreciate in any hospitality business. There is a chance of mistake everywhere, but the way you handle the situation shows how much you value your customers. 

Our room was very cosy with everything one can ask for a comfortable stay. Clean washroom with every amenity including hair dryer and 24*7 hot water, spacious closet and a balcony with amazing view. 

Parking Space

The hotel offers parking space for its guests so you will not have to worry about finding a place for your car. Parking is a major issue in Mussoorie. There are few spots, but they can charge up to 150 bucks. We were really happy to find a great hotel with spacious parking. 

Friendly Staff

I love travelling around and my biggest pet peeve is rude and unfriendly hotel staff. However, over here everyone including the customer executive of Sea Hawk (parent company), manager, reception and housekeeping, are of a friendly nature, ready to serve you. One of our members requested an extra toothbrush at 4 am and the hotel staff politely provided it with a smile on his face. 

Amazing view

The hotel is located in a perfect location giving you an unhindered view of the valley and nearby hills. Lush green landscape with colourful houses and buildings popping up from here and there, serene view of the hills far away from the place, and peaceful quietness make it a worthwhile place to stay. When we were not strolling outside, we were either sitting on our balcony gazing outside or sipping a hot cup of tea in the rooftop restaurant. 

Rooftop Restaurant

This is one of the best features of the hotel giving you an amazing view of the entire city or at least a major part of it. You can order delicious food and enjoy it while gazing around taking in the lush serene landscape of Mussoorie. Poha and ginger tea are recommended!
